Lights Out
What if…
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
If you could see how much you mattered,
would you still be in a hurry for Jesus to return?
WHAT IF ALL true Christ-believers suddenly disappeared from the world, there would be:
No more mercy
No more compassion
No more hope
No more freedom
No more glory
No more opportunities for forgiveness
No more peacemakers
No more patience
No more gentleness
No more kindness
No more purity
No more integrity
No more self-control
No more righteousness
No more Light
No more Love
No more Presence
Only pain. Regret. Anger. Sorrow. Pride. Arrogance. Unrest. Failure. Impatience. Lies. Bondage. Chaos. Violence.
Look again at the “no more” list of what all believers have to offer simply by having the Light and Presence of God within us. All because I am in Him, and He is in me.
For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Ephesians 5:8-9
Everywhere you go,
you’re bringing Him with you.
You matter in this world.
So go.
Boldly—
Before the lights go out.
The Light of an Embattled Spirit
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

So true. Just read this morning how we’re to live as an example in all the good areas. (1 Timothy 4:12)
May we always shine bright for Him! 🙂
A good verse, Rae. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
