A Revelation to Strengthen the Soul
Most mornings, I wake up and say, “Good morning, Lord,” and then my mind roams through the to-do list for that day.
But occasionally, I wake up to the Holy Spirit impressing a message upon my heart. My “Good morning” suddenly falls short of God’s glory, as He captures me afresh with the mystery of His love.
One of these love-awakenings happened a while back, and I couldn’t get my body out of bed and into action quick enough. Our souls are made up of layers, some that God needs to heal, others He desires empower through a revelatory truth. Meaning, what I knew as head knowledge was about to become deep substratum in my heart that would then influence my soul, which would then quarterback my flesh (thoughts and behavior).
As I sat with the Lord, worshipping and reading His word, I asked Holy Spirit to put words to this impression from the Father. I wanted to possess it as my own. As I listened to His heart, I spoke the revelation out loud as a way of partnering with His will for me. God will do the work, but He expects our active agreement.
Who God says He is in our lives needs to overshadow the world’s false interpretation of our Creator. I pray that this impartation of who He is in your life will sink in deep as you sit with Holy Spirit and focus on each truth … without rushing.
Father, You loved me…
You intended me to live…
You made me…
You wired my personality…
You found me…
You rescued me…
You bought me…
You died for me…
You raised me up with You…
You sealed me as Yours forever…
You called me…
You heard my cry…
You fought for me…
You healed me…
You blessed me…
(All of the above before I ever stepped foot on His Earth.)
And You will return for me.
Intentionally come into agreement with the Eternal One. His faithfulness to His children is like the sun that rises every morning, even when clouds obscure our view. Like the moon orbiting the earth, His Love is Eternally Present even when I only see in part or not at all.
May these truths encourage your heart today as you steep in His gentle, loving presence.
Father in Heaven, how You can love us so greatly is a mystery. I come into agreement today with Your heart for me and Your intentions for my life, for there is no shadow of darkness in You, and You are exceedingly good yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Sowing Seeds of Bravery to Actively Agree
