Where Light Interrupts Darkeness

Where Light interrupts darkness …
1 BLESSED are the undefiled in the way,
. . . Who walk in the law of the Lord! (those with integrity)
2 BLESSED are those who keep His testimonies,
. . . Who seek Him with the whole heart!
3 THEY also do no iniquity;
. . . They walk in His ways.
4 YOU have commanded us
. . . To keep Your precepts diligently.
5 OH, that my ways were directed
. . . To keep Your statutes!
6 THEN I would not be ashamed,
. . . When I look into all Your commandments.
7 I WILL praise You with uprightness of heart,
. . . When I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I WILL keep Your statutes;
. . . Oh, do not forsake me utterly!
DEFILE: to violate the sanctity of; to corrupt the purity or perfection of; dishonor; desecrate/defile a sanctuary (Merriam-Webster)
INTEGRITY: the condition of being complete or whole or undivided (Merriam-Webster)
♥ THE KEY TO HAPPINESS? ♥
Me, His much-loved:
Sometimes I read Your word and the significance I know is there, eludes me.
And I do not see the implied joy and happiness in those who ‘follow the rules of the Law’ to a T. I desire to live with joy, and I hunger to understand the excellence of your precepts. Lord, how do I “walk in the law”(v.1)?
P.S. Bring me to the point where my heart and mind do not even consider compromising with evil an option (v.3 “do no iniquity”).
My LORD:
I have indeed commanded you to do the impossible task of keeping My precepts.
But My Holy Spirit, Who knows only how to live righteously, empowers you. Without the Spirit’s interpretation of Scripture, you will walk away unenlightened, or worse, twisting the divine Word to your worldly advantage.
Submit to My Spirit, Who never lies. (I John 2:27)
I want you to inherit My promises. I did not make the promises to taunt you or shame you, but to bless you. When you look intently into my Word, you become aware of your shortcomings and feel ashamed; this is My Word operating like a 2-edged sword. It is able to shave* off the iniquity the way a butcher shaves the fat off the meat, only with perfect precision. (Heb 4:12)
I AM worth every minute you investment.
The integrity of Scripture vs. the integrity of your heart
The more your heart grows in integrity toward Me with an undivided attention in seeking Me, the more your mind will comply with the intent of My law — and the more your life will reflect the integrity of My word (Matt 5:14-16).
Invite Me deeper into the layers of your heart, and expect My light to interrupt any darkness along the way. How attached you are to an area of darkness will determine how painful My focused light feels.
Me, His much-loved:
I will praise you (v.7) as I experience this supernatural if not surreal and painful cleansing of Your Word. Thank You for not giving up on me (v.8).
Let the experience begin. I invite You in …
You are His much-loved. Have you invited Him in today?
