Trees splinter
Winds roar
Mountains rise
Waves crash
Rivers rush
Lava boils
Fountains splash
Sand sinks
Flowers bloom
Birds molt
Lizards shed
“And the doe labors and gives birth.”

THE EARTH obeys; it has no free will to react differently.

WHAT DO I DO when the Lord speaks?
What do I do when Peace pleads with me?
What do I do when Joy shouts my name?
What do I do when I hear Love’s tender whisper?
Will I react the same today as I did yesterday?
Will I give a thumbs-up as I carry on with my life?
Will I ‘lift my eyes’ merely to wink at the One speaking?
OR WILL I STOP EVERYTHING. Set aside my will. And say, as young Samuel did…
“I’m listening, Lord. Speak to me.”
