The Gift that Transforms

SOME GIFTS overshadow others, like when your sister gets the keys to a new car and you only get a new comforter. Granted, you can’t drive yet and you need the bedding, but this still seems unfair.

AND THEN there are the gifts money can’t buy that overshadow the entire Season of Giving, better known as Christmas. Maybe I’m only speaking for myself, but I’d gladly give up the car and the bedding and everything else under the tree in exchange for gifts of identity that come solely from the Creator

The One who created seasons
The ultimate Giver
The One who “rewards those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Whose birth we celebrate at Christmas
King of kings and Lord of lord
Divine nobility, the ultimate noble blood.
Jesus Christ, ”the First born among many brethren” (Romans 8:29)

Which, in turn, makes His followers royal brethren.
