I need it. Do you?
ADVERSITY. Roughly 18 months ago, I was in the middle of a season of great stress and adversity, the kind that put me in the hospital twice, though I was super healthy. Hidden in the shadow of God’s royal wings, I communed with Him in tears and He always responded in love, reminding me who I am in Him. At the time, the pain seemed never-ending, but thanks to His healing love, I am fully recovered and whole again today.
BELONGING. Throughout the Old Testament, God states His deepest desire over and over: “You will be My people, and I will be your God” (read a few verses). In fact, when you read the Old Testament cover to cover It’s hard not to come away with a sense of awe over God’s faithfulness to His promise(s) despite man’s unfaithfulness, and His head-over-heels devotion to His beloved—those whose lives are in Christ.
ROYALTY. Sometimes we need a reminder of Whose we are, that we weren’t born by chance but with intended purpose. Royal purpose. All children of a King are royal children, and if Christ lives in you, then His Royal Blood is flowing through your veins.
REMINDER. So this week’s simple post brings a reminder of our Royalty as sons and daughters of the Most High God, a self-reminder I wrote it during my lowest season.
This is meant to be read out loud. I pray it blesses you!

The Way of the Embattled Spirit
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine. Isaiah 43:1
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:18-19
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. John 10:28-29
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
