Breathing with Confidence
Be Confident of this:
“God who began a physical and moral good work in me, a work that’s attractive, excellent and beneficial to His kingdom work will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
What He starts, He finishes. Both good and beneficial!
THE PSALMIST even cried out for this kind of assurance:
Adonai will fulfill His purpose for me.
Your lovingkindness, Adonai, endures forever.
Do not abandon the work of Your hands. Psalm 138:8
THE APOSTLE Paul confirmed it:
Faithful is the One who calls you—and He will make it happen! (it: He is setting you apart completely and preserving (in blamelessness) your spirit, soul, and body.) I Thess 5:24
THE PSALMIST radicalizes it:
“…In the shadow of Your wings, I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things (accomplishes it) for me.“ Psalm 57:1b-2
Time to QUIT…
QUIT making life so freaking hard on ourselves.
ANXIETY and worry are not God’s tool to make us move. Love that casts out fear is His tool.
WORRY is a signal that my heart is out of alignment with His great power and love. Worry says “Step back, press in, and realign with His perfect rest.”
♥
He has not given us a spirit of fear but of LOVE, POWER, and a SOUND MIND.
I do not see the words worry, anxious, or foreboding in there. Do you? REALIGN
Breathe in Abundance
OUR MEDIOCRE given up in exchange for His Best:
“And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11
- Love: un-defeatable benevolence and unconquerable goodwill that always seeks the highest good of the other person, no matter what he does. (agape)
- Abundance: have in excess, greatly surpass, excel. by the generosity of God’s grace, giving assurance that faithful use of one’s talents and gifts sets the stage for one’s own advancement.
- Righteousness: Just; being right; conformity to the revealed will of God in ALL respects, both judicial and gracious. (I am acquitted and God has imparted righteousness to me.)
Rephrased into a Prayer:
In Christ, may your undefeatable benevolence and unconquerable goodwill toward others grow in excess and may it excel by grace; and may your advancement through your experiential knowledge of God add to your spiritual discernment in order to prove to others those things that are most excellent in life! May you be sincere and blameless, filled with fruit-producing character that is in all ways conforming to God’s will, and bring Him glory!
